If you thrive on IT system support and maintenance, and in meeting user’s needs, the Risk System Analyst role could be for you. This post provides an exciting opportunity to make a contribution to improving the quality of care in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will work within the Clinical Governance Support Unit (CGSU), a Corporate Service managed by the Board Medical Director, to support delivery of the NHSGGC Risk Management and Health and Safety strategies. The Datix Team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Datix system within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), and for meeting local requirements for system functionality and operation. Datix is the NHSGGC Risk Management System, which is used to record all incidents and near misses within the Board. You will play a key role in this by participating in system administration, providing system support and maintenance, responding to data/ information enquiries, supporting users to effectively use the system, and in supporting analytical work. To excel as a team member, you should bring the following to the role, educated to Degree level in an IT or information management related subject, or with equivalent experience in this field, a ECDL in Microsoft Office professional packages; or able to demonstrate equivalent proficiency good communication skills, including oral skills, written skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills., able to work autonomously and use own initiative and good organisational and time management skills and experience of working in the NHS, and of working with a major IT system would be advantageous, as would knowledge of key NHS information systems and platforms, and knowledge and skills in data processing and analysis.
