An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Renal Team within NHS Fife. This post is based within the Renal service at Victoria Hospital.
All members of staff are required to participate in rotation in each of the following areas of the renal service:
• In patient ward 22 Victoria Hospital
• Renal Dialysis Unit ward 22 Victoria Hospital
• Satellite dialysis unit ward 21 Queen Margaret Hospital
• Satellite dialysis unit St Andrews Community Hospital
Once individuals have completed the relevant training they will be expected to participate in the renal service rotational programme.
As a nursing auxilliary you will be expected to assist the registered nurse with the delivery of patient centered care. This is a very diverse role with a range of different duties. You should have good communication skills and be able to carry out allocated tasks effectively and to a high standard
There are opportunities within the service for nursing auxiliaries to undertake the relevant education and development programmes; a willingness to undertake these is essential.
Previous experience is not essential, as training will be provided however, an SVQ level 2 certificate in health care would be desirable or evidence of on going learning.
