The Community Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy service provides pre-referral activity triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice, guidance and support for parents and families of children with a wide range of speech, language and/or communication and/ or eating, drinking and swallowing needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairment, Phonological Disorders, Dysfluency, Additional Support Needs and Language Disorder. You will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis and management of your own caseload, maintaining associated records, providing speech and language therapy intervention to children up to 18 years old from admission to discharge. You will also deliver Stage 1 / Pre-referral activity,
And participate in delivery of indirect patient care, e.g. training / teaching packages, within a multi-agency approach. It is essential you have a BSc Degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapeutics and a RCSLT Certificate to Practice, You should also be HCPC registered with Full RCSLT Membership.
The shift pattern is; 8:30 – 4:30 or 9-5
