HealthCare Support Worker – Testing with Public Health in Elgin
NHS Grampian’s Public Health Team urgently require healthcare support workers (Band 3) to join existing COVID-19 testing teams in a static testing site and in the community across Elgin.
Testing for COVID-19 is a key strand of both Scottish Government and NHS Grampian’s strategy for responding to COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the Test and Protect model. The crucial role that testing plays is only likely to increase. Testing criteria continues to expand, with the COVID-19 testing service currently supporting all health and social care staff, which is a substantial workforce in Grampian as well as various out-patient groups. The ability to test these groups timely is crucial in ensuring the health and social care system in its entirety continues to be able to care for the population during the pandemic and beyond. It is imperative that NHS Grampian is able to maintain the capacity currently in place.
Appropriate training on PPE use and testing techniques will be provided.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 months in the first instance. This would be ideal for those wishing to work part time (2/3 shifts per week) with 7 day coverage. Immediate start date essential.
