Pharmacy Support Worker - Enhanced Drug Treatment Service

 

The Enhanced Drug Treatment Service (EDTS) is an exciting new development within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the first in Scotland. Located in Glasgow city centre, this service aims to engage and improve outcomes for a population of complex needs drug users who have not benefited from other treatments. The service will be delivered by a multi-disciplinary specialist team in a bespoke clinical environment.    This role will be both exciting and challenging and we are looking for a professional, confident and organised individual to play a key instrumental role in developing the EDTS dispensary and pharmaceutical care role within the Enhanced Drug Treatment Service Team.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to develop their existing skills with the full support of the wider management structure gaining the necessary experience to achieve success as a key member of this specialist clinical service. You will need excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, to exert influence and develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff and patients. The post demands a high degree of communication with a wide range of senior healthcare and staff from a range of other stakeholders.  It is essential that you have relevant experience in pharmacy and an NVQ 2 / SVQ Level 2 qualification or demonstrable training to equivalent level.   Although this post is for a full time position we would not exclude individuals who may be looking for a part time post. Any previous experience of this type of service delivery would be viewed as desirable but not essential.
