We are looking for an enthusiastic  Speech and Language therapist  specialising in Learning Disability who would like to be part of an integrated multi professional  Adult Learning Disability team within Argyll and Bute.  

The Speech and Language Therapist will provide a distinct service to adults with a Learning Disability across  all of Argyll and Bute

You must be a registered with the HCPC and a member of RCSLT , with extensive knowledge of learning disability  and community working.

The post will provide clinical leadership  , with an appropriate caseload providing expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of this specific individual group. Your main priorities will be to ensure as well as be available to offer expert opinion, give advice  and specific training  to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities and other health care professionals.

We require someone who can work in isolation and autonomously with a person centred approach, excellent people skills, and is experienced in working positively with other agencies, care providers, and health workers.

Clinical supervision will be provided by the Professional Lead  and  Speech and Language Therapy lead with opportunities for peer supervision/CPD with other  Speech and Language therapists within  NHS Highland

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively to various work locations within NHS Highland, Argyll & Bute HSCP
