The Bed Manager is an autonomous expert practitioner in the field of Mental Health Bed Management with the ability to use their own judgement and analyse unplanned highly complex clinical situations. You will ensure efficient and effective bed usage throughout Mental Health Services accommodating where possible patients in their own teams.
Liaise with and update localities and clinical teams re admissions of patient to another hospital.
You will take a clinical lead in planning, developing and redesign of clinical bed management and discharge planning and have excellent communications with all members of the multidisciplinary team i.e. Consultant Psychiatrists, Ward Managers, Social Work etc. You will be required to provide a lead role within Mental Health Services with regards to all Bed Management Policies and Procedures.
It is essential you are a Registered Mental Health Nurse with relevant knowledge, training and experience to make informed decisions based on each clients or individual situations needs and have significant experience at Band 5 or above.
The shift pattern is rotational.
