NHS Grampian eRostering Programme

eRostering Facilitator - Safecare
Band 6

Location: Woodend Hospital

Vacancy Description: Hours 22.5 per week
Location: Workforce Department, Westholme, Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen.  Contract:  Permanent.

An opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Grampian eRostering Team to support the implementation of the eRostering system and in particular the Safecare module. Safecare gives electronic visibility of staffing levels across wards and departments, supporting the maintenance of safe patient care based on patient numbers and acuity. It allows staffing levels to be compared to the actual patient demand.

The focus of this role will be the implementation of Safecare, the application of acuity models and the associated system based training and support for users but due to the integrated nature of the eRostering modules, the postholder will also be involved in other activity related to  the work of the department.

Candidates should have excellent people and communication skills, be enthusiastic and motivated and able to interact with staff at all levels. The postholder will be working in a small but supportive and dynamic team and must be committed to the delivery of excellence whilst multi-tasking and continually prioritising workload.

Registered nursing experience and in particular an understanding of acuity based nursing at Band 6 level or above is essential alongside IT/PC skills and experience of eRostering. These must also be coupled with the ability to communicate effectively and pro-actively with all users and stakeholders and to problem solve issues presented.

The postholder will be based at Westholme, Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen but will be required to undertake duties at other sites across NHS Grampian and beyond.  Hence the ability to travel across sites is essential.
