Band 7 – Advanced Nurse Practitioner
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse or ANP to join the team within the Acute Receiving Unit, predominantly the Ambulatory Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This Band 7 post may be filled with an existing Advanced Nurse Practitioner or with a suitably experienced acute receiving nurse wishing to undertake a training post. You will utilise advanced clinical skills and knowledge incorporating a high level of critical thinking and clinical judgement skills. This will involve working autonomously with high level of decision making and problem solving. The ability to remain calm under pressure is a priority as well as possessing excellent communication and organisational skills. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently. Successful candidates for the ANP position will be working as an ANP currently or applicants for the ANP training post must have substantial post registration experience and have relevant experience working at a band 6 level in an acute medicine environment. The training post will be employed under Annexe U/21. Commitment and motivation to undertake a training programme is essential. It is also essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC. The shift pattern for this post will be over 7 days.
