The purpose of this post is to involve patients, carers and the public in service design, delivery, and improvement to achieve person centred quality care, and to ensure that patients, carers, and families are supported with accessible information. As the Patient Experience, Public Involvement (PEPI) Project Manager, you will work as part of a dynamic team of which a key aspect of the role is to maximise opportunities for cross-functional working and shared strategic approaches across the patient experience and public involvement and person centred care agenda, and with wider networks of multi-disciplinary NHS staff teams, HSCPs, statutory agencies and voluntary sector organisations. You will support the Patient and Carer Experience Managers to deliver actions identified in their work plans to meet the requirements of the Patient Rights (Scotland) Act 2011, Carers Act (Scotland) 2017, other legislative drivers, and most importantly support them take account of the patient and carer voice so that this informs improvements in care and experience. You will support the PEPI team and NHSGGC staff, public partners and/or volunteers to carry out patient involvement initiatives in order to achieve patient involvement targets, priorities and strategic objectives set by NHSGGC. It is essential that you have a Degree or equivalent qualification/experience which is health care related.This is a fixed term post for 12 months. You should have extensive experience working with patients and carers or in a consumer organistation. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
