Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of patient and donor care whilst remaining internationally competitive. 
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Nurse to lead our Clinical apheresis nursing service. The post holder will work collaboratively with operational managers and medical colleagues both within SNBTS and within territorial health boards to ensure the smooth and effective running of Clinical apheresies nursing services across the units in Glasgow Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the clinical apheresis nurses are effectively trained in all aspects of the clinical apheresis The post holder will ensure effective progress on the teams key performance indicators and business plan objectives.
Candidates should have extensive experience in clinical apheresis, excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt a proactive approach to problem solving .The ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to the workload are essential; 
Candidates must have current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to Masters level or equivalent. The position will be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh; however travel to Aberdeen and other parts of Scotland is required 


The successful candidate(s) must comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers (where appropriate).
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. 

Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying.
