A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to become a member of the Acute Addiction Liaison Service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS). Based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital you will be required to cover other Acute Hospitals when required. Experience and understanding of drug /alcohol assessment and management is essential as is a compassionate person centered approach. You will be a key link between Acute Hospitals and wider care providers such as ADRS community services and Third Sector Services. Nurse line management and supervision is a fundamental part of the role in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and policies. You will be required to deliver training as part of an educational programme to help build acute staffs’ knowledge and skills on alcohol and drug issues. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have relevant experience within addictions. You should have knowledge of mental health nursing care and experience within a supervisorial role. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
