Job Title: Advanced Sexual Health Practitioner- HIV
Department: Lothian Sexual and Reproductive Health Services
Base: Chalmers Centre, 2A Chalmers Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9ES
Job details: Permanent Contract, Band 7 Salary range £39,300-£46,006 Full time 37.5 hrs per week, Hours of work Monday to Friday to include a maximum of two evenings per week. No weekend or night shifts and no unsocial hours payment. Independent travel to local clinics and further afield as required is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will work as member of the senior nursing team in Lothian’s integrated sexual and reproductive health service. In particular you will give nursing leadership to the HIV team, providing clinical care to people living with HIV. You will provide line management, mentorship and clinical oversight to a team of nurses delegated by the Clinical Nurse Manager and will be expected to participate in clinical care to a wide range of patients accessing Chalmers and its local clinics for care other than HIV. You will support the delivery and development of the HIV service through leadership, audit, evaluation and workforce planning.
Key Requirements: First level registered nurse with current NMC registration, Post Registration qualification in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Educated to Masters Degree Level or willing to work towards this. Independent Extended Non Medical Prescribing Qualification. Wide experience of HIV and wider Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare including contraceptive provision.
