An opportunity has arisen for someone to join a progressive and proactive Specialist Drug and Alcohol team.  The successful applicant will be part of a well established and supportive administration team that supports a wide range of service users and clinical staff.

The administration department has undertaken a review in the past six months and this post being created is an outcome of the review. The service requires the post holder to be a proficient typist, have experience with data bases and be comfortable with all word software packages.

There will be reception and phone duties, with the post holder being based in Lochfield Road Primary care building in Dumfries. The service is open 8.30 am until 5pm Monday to Friday. The post is initially fixed term for a period of 18 months, 30 hours per week (Band 3 pro-rata), with a provisional start date 23/11/2020. Secondment would be considered if this was the preferred option for the successful candidate.

The successful applicant will be supported to develop their personal development plan via TURAS, with supervision sessions in place to support this. The service is looking for someone who is motivated to work with this patient group, committed to supporting clinical staff, and be able to work with administration colleagues to improve process and outcomes.
