Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition Network (NoSPGHANN)
Part-time for 2 years

(2 PAs or 8 hrs per week – job share will be considered)

Base:  NORTH OF SCOTLAND

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for the North of Scotland Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition Network in the North of Scotland.

The network has been in existence since 2002 and supports children with gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition conditions across 5 Health Board areas.  Multi-disciplinary teams of staff are based in Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness and work closely with local medical, nursing and AHP professionals to provide out-patient clinics, investigations and treatment.

Applicants will be clinical professionals from the North of Scotland with extensive skills and experience in the provision of gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition services.  Presently operating at a senior level within the NHS, you will have exhibited leadership potential during your clinical work to date.  Applications from all clinical professionals working within the North (medical, nursing and AHPs) are encouraged.  The successful postholder will require the knowledge and skills to credibly champion the cause of the speciality across the North. The ability to work across traditional Health Board boundaries and organisations is essential as is the ability to manage change within a complex environment.

The appointment will be for a period of 2 years.  It is anticipated that the commitment required would amount to 2 PA sessions/or 8 hours per week (or job share).
