The predominant purpose of the Facilities Assistant (Domestic) role is to provide a quality domestic service to the hospital ensuring that a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors, following agreed cleaning work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired infection (HAI_ Task Force Code of Practice. Staff are required to rotate around all wards, clinical areas and departments within the hospital. Provision of a food and beverage service for patients in adherence with Food Safety Regulations.  Your duties will include:  Present an efficient, high quality domestic service to patients and staff, follow specific schedule of work relating to defined areas although post holders are required to have a flexible approach to daily routine, economic and safe use of cleaning agents, following manufacturers recommended instructions.  Care and use of mechanical cleaning equipment.  You should inform Supervisor of requirements for work materials as required and check delivery of cleaning supplies and equipment.  You will wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department and complete all daily/weekly sign off sheets for areas of work. You do not need to have qualifications or experience as all training will be given.  There are various shifts patterns for this post as there are 11 positions available.  Please put onto your application which post or posts you would be interested in.

 

Hours are:

Monday – Friday 5.00pm – 9.00pm, 20 hours

Monday – Friday 4.30pm – 8.30pm, 20 hours

Monday – Friday 3.30pm – 7.00pm, 17.5 hours

Monday – Friday 2.00pm – 5.00pm, 15 hours

Saturday – Sunday 4.30pm – 8.30pm, 8 hours

Saturday – Sunday 4.00pm – 8.00pm, 8 hours

Saturday – Sunday 5.00pm – 9.00pm. 8 hours

  Saturday – Sunday 1.00pm – 4.00pm, 6 hours

Saturday only 2.00pm – 5.00pm, 3 hours
