Drum Ward is a busy 20 bedded general adult psychiatry admission ward, which is part of Division A of the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service. The ward admits both male and female patients from the Shire and Aberdeen city catchment areas.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Drum Ward team as a Band 5 Staff Nurse.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a busy and challenging environment, developing effective therapeutic relationships with both patients and carers.
Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of the ward nursing team and within the wider multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and in line with local and national policy including health and safety legislation.
The role is for a temporary Band 5, 18.75 hours per week. This post is for Drum Ward but will be housed in Fraser Ward temporarily until Drum reopens. (Date unknown at this time)
