An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Financial Department for a Trainee Financial accountant working towards becoming an Assistant Financial Accountant in the financial accounts team.
This is an excellent opportunity to progress and make a difference in an ever changing and challenging environment.
The post holder will be supported by the Assistant Director of Finance (Governance and Financial Accounting) for training requirements but will report to the Financial Account for operational management and work as part of the team, supporting the Board’s financial reporting and control.
The postholder will be required to follow a detailed training plan in conjunction with the requirements of a professional body to acquire a formal CCAB qualification.
The ability to interpret financial concepts and provide high quality outputs is essential, as is the ability to show initiative and work as part of a team. Excellent IT skills (Including Microsoft Excel) and communication skills are also crucial.
As this is a training post, you will be paid a percentage of the maximum of the Band 6 pay scale equivalent to 65% in year 1, 70% in year 2 and 75% in year 3.
