The base of this post will be UH Monklands, however the successful candidate will be expected to attend outreach clinics across NHSL.
This post is for a specialist clinical practitioner providing care, expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire. The post holder will ensure a person centered approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy and will contribute to the development and implementation of a programme of clinical audit and research activity.
Applying candidates should be registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration and be educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level. Candidate should have post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. A comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice as well as a specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice is require for the post. Candidates should display leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery, possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative. Evidence of further education/ Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification is required. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills are essential within the role, as aswell as effective time management skills and a working knowledge of basic information technology
