Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Glasgow Alcohol Related Brain Damage Team.


The Alcohol Related Brain Damage Team is looking to appoint an experienced therapist to work within the Citywide area of Glasgow.  You will be responsible for delivering skilled occupational therapy interventions to individuals with cognitive impairment secondary to long term alcohol dependency and thiamine deficiency.  You will function as an independent practitioner and demonstrate an in depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience with a keen focus on client centred care in a developing area of practice.  You should have a caring and compassionate approach to patient, carers and colleagues, maintaining dignity and respect within all interactions and therapeutic interventions.    The post will be part of a well-established specialist team and be responsible for service development and supervision of junior staff.  You will manage delegated activity as well as maintaining a clinical caseload.  You should hold a current HCPC registration and meet all requirements for practicing as an occupational therapist.  Working hours for this post are Monday-Friday 0900-1700.
