District Nursing is an essential front line service, delivering differing levels of care to a range of patients in their own home or a homely setting. North Glasgow District Nursing Night Service operates from 100 Borron St covering a population of 500,000 people in the out of hour’s period. The District Nurse service provides a range of planned and unplanned interventions with varying levels of complexities. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC who can function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience to lead and enable the District Nursing team to provide a quality nursing service. You will support the District Nurse to provide accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. The shift pattern for this post is Out of Hours between 4.30pm – 8.00am (flexible over the working week). The vacancy is part time hours at 20hrs per week, It is desirable but not essential that you have a current driving licence.
