We are seeking a flexible, warm and innovative Nurse, Midwife or Health Visitors to join our established Family Nurse Service in Grampian. Working as part of the North Team, you will visit young, first time mothers, in their homes, from pregnancy until their child reaches the age of 2.
You will need to be highly motivated with a good understanding of building therapeutic and empowering relationships, a good working knowledge of child protection policy and practice, child development, maternal psychology and fundamentally enjoy working with this age group of parent.
You will take a key role in delivering the Family Nurse Partnership programme (FNP) in addition to the Universal Health Visiting Pathway to first time young parents on your caseload and providing safe and effective patient centred care across the North Grampian area. You may also, at times, be required to work across the wide Grampian area.
Applicants should have post registration experience of working with children and/or young people in their homes. Experience of general community nursing/and or midwifery home visiting including the skills to work within the clinical methods of a structured home visiting programme.
Please note:
Candidates who are not trained Family Nurses will be expected to complete the mandatory FNP National Unit Family Nurse training and must be able to attend the residential Learning Week commencing 30th November 2020 initially, with further dates throughout the following year.
