 Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner 

 Band 7: £37,570 - £44,688 per annum (Trainee Band 6: £31,800 - 39,169 per annum)

 37.5 hours per week, PERMANENT

Come and join our flourishing ANP team who provide clinical services within GP Medical Centres within the Central (Galashiels area) and East (Kelso, Duns, Eyemouh areas) clusters in the Scottish Borders.

Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners

As part of the team you will provide a central core knowledge, skills and competencies essential to Primary Care. In addition as a qualified ANP/AP you will have responsibility for coaching and mentoring our ANP’s in training. It is therefore essential that you are a registered Adult Nurse/Practitioner with substantial post registration experience at a senior level. Independent prescribing would be an advantageous. You will support the continued development, delivery and management of the Primary Care Improvement Plan - the implementation plan for the GMS/GP contract.

Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioners

We also have a number of Trainee ANP positions – you will be an experienced nurse with post registration experience at a senior level. Experience of primary care would be an advantage. The successful post holder will work towards carrying out the full scope of duties. In conjunction with formal study you will receive in-house training, guidance, supervision and mentoring to learn the required new skills and develop confidence as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Trainee posts are paid at Band 6 until completion of the Advanced Practice Pathway (Post-Graduate diploma in Advanced Practice including Non-medical prescribing).
