The post requires applicants to be time served with an electrical or mechanical bias (or one of the two) with the necessary qualifications and/or experience described in the attached Job Description.
It would be desirable to have a level of knowledge, understanding and experience of complex electrical / engineering systems in large healthcare premises. This includes a good understanding of new boiler technology and controls, combined heat & power (CHP) plant, complex ventilation systems, chillers and medical gas installations.
The successful applicant will also have responsibilities to assist with training and education of apprentices and adult trainees ensuring they gain the necessary training and experience to meet the needs of their training program. This will also include some work with managers to identify and set up the training programs.

There will be a requirement to participate on and on-call rota out of hours.
