The Resuscitation Service at NHS Forth Valley is expanding and we are inviting applications from enthusiastic, innovative and motivated Resuscitation Council UK ALS or EPALS Instructors to join our proactive and forward-facing team.
Successful applicants will be registered healthcare professionals from a nursing, paramedic, peri-operative practice or allied healthcare professional background, with current registration with the HPCP or NMC.
Applicants must have suitable experience from an acute healthcare setting such as CCU, ITU, Emergency Department or pre-hospital care and who have a passion for education and resuscitation. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate an interest and experience of teaching clinical skills, simulation and undertaking clinical audit. Good organisational and communication skills, a proactive flexible outlook, a willingness to develop and adapt with the ability to work autonomously are essential criteria for the role of Resuscitation Officer.
Based from Forth Valley Royal Hospital, the ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post as there is an expectation that resuscitation training is delivered across a range of sites, with future work including the roll out of NEWS2 and establishment of the ReSPECT process, the latter of which NHS Forth Valley was an early implementer.
