NHS Tayside has a vacancy for an experienced Systems Support Technician.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who can act with minimal supervision to provide management and support, for Data Network technologies deployed across NHS Tayside.
Good communication and problem-solving skills, allied to a keen understanding of the requirements for Cisco LAN Ethernet Data Networking, Fibre-Optic cabling systems, SolarWinds Network Monitoring Platform, Cisco Core Network switching and TCP/IP protocols, Cisco IOS skills are essential. Specific knowledge of Wireless Networking, VoIP, Cisco ASA, Cisco AnyConnect, SSL-VPN and Cisco NX-OS are highly desirable but not essential, whilst an understanding of IT service management principles including ITIL will also be advantageous.
This post will be based at Maryfield House in Dundee, though some to travel to other sites throughout Tayside will be necessary you may also be expected to work on a temporary basis from other NHS Tayside bases if required. Participation in an out of hours on-call rota will be required.
The post requires degree level qualification, equivalent knowledge, or industry certification, plus proven experience in managing critical IT services. Fuller details can be obtained from the job description.
