Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership are looking to recruit a number of experienced Physician Associates (PAs) across a range of General Practices to be part of the Primary CARE Improvement Plan (2018 GP Contract) in advance of the new East Region PA training programme, which will support students from September 2020. Specific experience in GP would be advantageous. Applicants must be educated to post-graduate level in Physician Associate studies and registered on the UK PA MVR. Prior work as part of a ‘middle grade’ rota is desirable however all applicants will be considered that can demonstrate sufficient post qualifying experience. Shift patterns will vary by department/specialty and may include out of hours, nights and weekends.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
