Band 5 Radiographer


This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Hospitals. We are recruiting to the North East Sector within the Diagnostics Directorate. 


North East Sector:

Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow Dental Hospital


Within the North East Sector there is cross site rotation based on a ‘hub and spoke’ model enabling staff to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills across scheduled and unscheduled care.


The North East Sector has a busy ED Department and specialities with associated Mobile and Theatre Imaging such as Orthopaedics, Urology, Surgery, Medicine, and Plastics. 


There has been significant investment in Imaging over the past few years resulting in state of the art imaging equipment in most areas.

There is an integrated Care stream PACS and HSS CRIS across NHSGGC Diagnostic Directorate enabling central booking for patient choice and reporting flexibility. 

We use a combination of Fuji CR system and have DR from a number of companies.


CT platforms: Toshiba and Siemens

MRI: Siemens, Philips and Siemens

Interventional : Siemens


NHSGGC are committed to radiography role development and have one Consultant Reporting Radiographer, two Consultant Sonographers, an Advanced Practice Mammographer, a team of reporting radiographers and sonographers developing their roles in a variety of areas within Imaging such as Ultrasound guided FNA, and Arthrography. 


We are looking for new graduates keen to take on their first radiographer role or an already experienced band 5 looking for another challenge. They will require HCPC registration (or pending).


Successful candidates will benefit from a structured training and induction programme.
