This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Hospitals (NHS GG&C). We are recruiting within the North East Sector (Diagnostics Directorate) seeking a full time Band 6 Mammographer.


There has been significant investment in Imaging over the past few years resulting in state of the art imaging equipment in most areas. There is an integrated Care stream PACS and HSS CRIS across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's Diagnostic Directorate enabling central booking for patient choice and reporting flexibility.


NHSGGC are committed to radiography role development, the diagnostics directorate providing post graduate learning opportunities in line with service requirements. This directorate have an Advanced Practice Mammographer trained in image interpretation, breast ultrasound, localisations and biopsies. Furthermore, many of our radiographers are developing their roles in a variety of specialist areas within Imaging, e.g. a Consultant Reporting Radiographer, two Consultant Sonographers, a team of reporting radiographers, sonographers, some of whom perform Ultrasound guided FNA, arthrography and CT colonography.


You shall work as part of a team of 6 committed Mammographers. Your main responsibility will be to carry out mammography examinations, perform QA and provide a high standard of direct patient care for women attending SACH suites.

You will also support additional specialised mammography examinations including interventional breast procedures for patients requiring further investigation during one stop and review clinics.  


Requirements for the post are:-

    • HCPC Registration
    • BSc (hons) Degree in Radiography or equivalent
    • Post-Graduate Certificate in Mammography or equivalent
