Can you help us deliver high quality injectable medicines, on time and in a pleasant and respectful environment?
We currently have opportunities for GPhC registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our team at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. The unit is the busiest NHS aseptic unit in Scotland, producing around 50,000 items per year from a team of Pharmacists, Technicians and support workers.
This hands-on role involves dispensing of Parenteral Nutrition, IV additives, chemotherapy and clinical trials for both adults and children. In addition you will be able to participate in batch manufacturing under the terms of an MHRA specials’ license and compounding of PN using state-of-the-art automation.
Previous hospital or aseptic experience is not required as full training will be given. We would ask that you possess good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and a desire to learn.
This is a full time post 37.5hrs and will be worked 5/7 days including weekend working on a rota basis and participation in the public holiday rotas. It is essential that the post holder is registered with the Pharmaceutical Council with approved competency based qualifications eg. NVQ Pharamacy Level 3 and a quaflying work experience period.
