We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to work within our CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working with children and young people who present with a range of Neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. This post would suit an individual with a passion for working with children and families, and provides an opportunity to develop skills in a specialist area of CAMHS.
The Assistant Psychologist will work within a multidisciplinary team to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. There will be opportunities to train in specific assessment tools, receive regular clinical supervision and be invited to participate in running of various group interventions. Alongside the Neurodevelopmental Service and CAMHS teams, the post holder will work closely with the wider children's network, to include the paediatric teams, Local Authority and third sector organisations. The Assistant Psychologist will also be involved in clinically related administration, development of audit and/or research projects.
To be considered for this post, it is essential that you have an Honours Degree or Higher in Psychology with entitlement to graduate membership of The British Psychological Society. Previous experience of working within CAMHS and the areas of Autism, ADHD, ID is also highly desirable.
