This is a demanding role, which requires discretion, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and disciplines.

You will required to have SVQ3 Qualification in Business Administration or equivalent skills, knowledge/experience with previous supervisory experience.  A knowledge of NHS/Local Authority policies and the understanding of financial systems desirable.

A high level of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail and Internet is a prerequisite.  Knowledge of EMIS system, PMS, Carefirst would be desirable.  These are the post holder’s main working tools and form the basis on which the Intermediate Care & Rehabilitation Services operate. 

You will also be required to be competent recording/understanding of statistical/information data.

Good organisational and time management skills and an ability to be flexible in day-to-day working to ensure prompt and satisfactory outcomes.  You should also have the ability to work unsupervised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.   Report writing skills also essential.

Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and knowledge of the health service, medical and therapy terminology is advantageous with an understanding of Health and Social Care inter-disciplinary networks.

Hours: 37.5 per week.
