Band 6 Urology Nurse Specialist progressing to Band 7. Ward 209, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Specialty Urology.
37.5 hours per week, Permanent post.
We have a full time position, Band 6 Urology Specialist Nurse progressing to Band 7 after relevant training and completion of relevant competencies, available within the Urology Department in NHS Grampian.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent Specialist Nurse team and to develop in your nursing career within the Urology Service. The Urology Service is a large and expanding specialty and this role will be a key part in the development of the service moving forward.
We require a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual. The suitable candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team within this well-established service. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate clinical excellence in Urology nursing practice and have extensive post registration nursing experience.
Suitable candidates should be able to work efficiently, effectively and be able to use their initiative to make sound rational decisions supported by evidenced based practice and research. The candidate must also have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
The Urology Service works collaboratively across NHS Grampian to provide integrated and clinically effective services for patients with urological disorders. The sucessful candiate will conduct Nurse led clinics- including urodynamics, erectile dysfunction,BPH clinics, ISC/ISD
Telephone follow up for patients
Full support will be given for training and the completeion of competencies.
