Part time Secondment opportunity (0.4wte) until October 2022

Remuneration will be commensurate with current salary

Initially home based with travel throughout Scotland

The Healthcare Staffing Programme has a requirement for an Allied Health Professional National Workforce Lead to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the Health & Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019.

The programme team is working with Health Boards across Scotland to support improvement in workload and workforce planning in line with new staffing legislation. The post holder will work with them and a range of stakeholders to lead the development, testing and implementation of workforce tools for AHP services across Scotland, taking into account the need for multi-professional approaches and digital solutions to reduce the data capture burden.

The key outcome of this work is to enable workforce decisions that will ensure that at all times, suitably qualified and competent individuals from a range of professional disciplines, are working in such numbers as are appropriate for the health, wellbeing and safety of patients or service users, and the provision of high-quality health care for individuals across Scotland.

We are looking for an Allied Health Professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as expert working knowledge in AHP workload and workforce planning. The post holder must have an ability to devise, implement and monitor a range of engagement strategies to ensure AHPs across Scotland and Professional Bodies are actively engaged to support the work of the Healthcare Staffing Programme
