SUPERNUMERARY PRACTITIONER CLINICAL TECHNOLOGIST – BAND 5
FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 2 YEARS

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic radiographer or physics graduate to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering clinical nuclear medicine services to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Applications are invited from candidates with an honours degree in Radiography or Physics/ Science/Technology. Candidates with an HNC/HND together with a profile of relevant knowledge and training equivalent to honours degree level would also be considered.
Post-holders will be based in one of three departments:
Post 1 Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Post 2 Nuclear Cardiology (Glasgow Royal Infirmary)
Post 3 The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) would be desirable. The successful applicant is expected to achieve the award of IPEM Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nuclear Medicine) leading to registration with RCT.
Applicants should have good communication and interpersonal skills, ideally with some experience working with the public, or in a health care environment, along with experience in planning, investigating and performing technical projects.
