Job Purpose
A dedicated, enthusiastic and well-motivated radiographer is required to join our imaging team in these busy departments. The postholder will rotate through CT and MRI and will be heavily involved in the practical and theoretical teaching of students and radiographers on rotation from the general department.
The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is in the process of becoming a major trauma centre and there will be a requirement to provide 24/7 on site cover for CT, which the successful candidate will be part of.
In addition evening and weekend working in CT and MRI will also be expected as part of the 37.5 hour week.
The department provides scanning of most body areas with Canon Genesis Prism and Prime SP CX CT scanners, and Philips Ingenia Ambition and Siemens Magnetom Aera MRI scanners.
Imaging Team radiographers are expected to be proactive regarding further education and continuing professional development. A flexible approach to work is essential and the postholder must be committed to providing the highest quality service to our patients, customers and colleagues.
Experience in CT is essential
