This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work as an integral member of the colorectal nursing team. The post holder will work in collaboration and under the supervision of the senior colorectal nurse specialist. They will be responsible for providing information, support and specialist nursing interventions to maximise the quality of life of patients who require colorectal and stoma surgery. You will also be involved in the bowel screening programme as well as data collection for a number of national audits. The post holder will have a base at Ninewells but may on occasions be expected to work throughout Tayside, including clinics and community visits depending on the demands of the service.
You should be a First Level Registered Nurse with evidence of continuing professional development. Extensive post registration experience is required in a relevant speciality. You will be involved in collaborative working, therefore, strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Ability to travel is essential as outreach services provide part of the role.
