Salary range: £64.962 - £86,019 per annum (subject to re-evaluation review)

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSCCG) is one of the UK’s largest providers of acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services. To ensure NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde continues to be at the forefront of developing governance, risk and assurance systems that support the delivery of high quality healthcare to our patients, we are seeking to appoint a new Director of Clinical and Care Governance.
This is a senior leadership role within NHSGG&C and is an exciting role and requires an in depth knowledge around assurance and quality management systems as well as a proven track record of delivering change across complex multidisciplinary healthcare systems.
In this role, you will provide corporate leadership and expertise on strengthening Clinical and Care governance arrangements across the Board and work directly with the Board Medical Director/Board Nurse Director and the wider Corporate Management Team and senior clinicians on delivering an effective Clinical Governance service to the Board.
You will play a central role in supporting the delivery of the Healthcare Quality Strategy and will ensure that NHSGGC at all times is fully compliant with both national policies and strategies ensuring that organisational processes are continuously reviewed and updated and there is a robust process to support learning from adverse events and clinical risks.
You will also develop and enhance our organisational culture and help to build capability, capacity and leadership on Quality Improvement to ensure the principles of governance are at the centre of service provision.
