Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

We have and exciting and challenging opportunity for a Health Care Assistant at the Health Centre, HMP Shotts.  In this role you will  undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or similar setting. Reporting  patient condition to registered staff.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment. You will be required to undertake on the job training and induction, and undertake mandatory HCSW standards . You will need the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have effective written and verbal communication skills, and the  ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Working knowledge of basic information technology.
