Bereavement Co-ordinator
Grade: Band 6 Salary Scale: £31,800 - £39,169
Full time 37.5hrs per week, permanent
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful individual to join our Bereavement Service team, promoting high quality bereavement care across NHS Lothian.
The job requires you to act as a point of contact for all bereavement-related enquiries in NHS Lothian, offering information and expert advice to patients, families and staff.
You will have the ability to problem-solve in unique, complex and intractable cases, co-ordinating the parties involved at the time of death in order to ensure a timely and dignified final act of care for the deceased.
You will act as representative of NHS Lothian at a national level on bereavement issues, and oversee contractual relations with commercial service providers.
This post may require working on various sites within the NHS Lothian Board area. You will have a relevant degree or hold a relevant professional qualification. Further details can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification for this post.
