The Renal Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is the inpatient service for Renal services. We are currently looking for a ward housekeeper to join our team in Ward 4C, a 15 bedded ward caring for Renal Transplant and Surgical patients. You will work in a distinct role to support the delivery of clinical care by assisting in the maintenance of a clean, safe and attractive environment, conducive to patient care. Co-ordinating a range of ward services, including cleaning, catering, supplies, linen services, and general maintenance issues reporting and rectification, you will work closely with the Division's support service departments and Unit Manager and staff to ensure that national and local standards are met. You will assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the ward, carrying out spot cleaning and ensuring spillages are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. You will ensure general and specialist equipment i.e. Drip stands, dialysis and chairs are cleaned as per cleaning policy and ensure the ward is safe and tidy at all times i.e. Remove clutter, tidy notice boards, signage etc. You should be familiar with Hospital Ward environments and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of hospital cleaning practices, particularly of isolation areas. You should also have basic computer skills. The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7.
