An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist working within the specialties of Gynaecology & Obstetrics at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, GlasgowYou will be a patient focussed clinical practitioner and an active member of the multidisciplinary team, advising and promoting the safe effective use of medicines and supporting technician led medicines management initiatives. You will work closely with the Team Leads for Women and Children, and the MDT to provide a constant, equitable, high quality clinical pharmacy service.  You should have a Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, have relevant years post-qualification experience, have completed the Scottish Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training Scheme or equivalent and have completed or be working towards a clinical pharmacy MSc/ Diploma. Your experience will have been gained working in a patient focussed environment using your knowledge and skills to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines. Experience of working within a Women and Children’s service or critical care environment is advantageous but not essential. Excellent management and communication skills with a flexible approach to working are essential to the role. You will be expected to participate in a 5/7 day work pattern, weekend working, Public Holiday service and on-call.
