Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Forensic CAMHS team. Forensic CAMHS are a community based multi-disciplinary team providing specialist forensic mental health services to children and young people across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area. We are the only team of this kind in NHS Scotland currently. This post has a particular focus on provision to the local secure care units, but input to other areas of the service is expected. Supervision and management support would be provided by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist within the team.

Additional training specific to the role will be provided. There will be opportunities for undertaking service development and other leadership tasks within the role. The post requires a post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is desirable that you have experience in complex case work and a keen interest in working in this area.

The post will be based at the West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital, Yorkhill. The hours are 37.5 hours worked Monday to Friday. The successful candidatr will be required to demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge as a clinical psychologist and registration with the HCPC.
