Lead Pharmacist Hepatitis C
Band 8a – 0.6WTE
Temporary until October 2021
Due to secondment for the current post-holder, an opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic pharmacist for this challenging and exciting post which has an intergral role in delivering safe and effective treatment to a diverse range of patients in NHS Lothian.
You will be based at the Western General Hospital but also work with the clinical team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and have a key role in both multidisciplinary teams. You also work closely with community pharmacy contractors supporting day to day provision of the service.
Candidates should have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have relevant post registration experience with evidence of postgraduate training and professional development. Independent prescribing qualification is desirable. You must be a confident and effective communicator and demonstrate organisation and time management skills with a track record of influencing cost effective prescribing and able to plan and work independently.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
