An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with an interest in Parkinson’s disease. The successful candidate will work in collaboration to develop, co-ordinate and provide highly specialist in –patient Parkinson’s disease care. The post holder will work in conjunction with the existing Parkinson’s disease Team and will be based within Older Adult Services at Woodend.
The main role of the post holder will be giving support, advice and education to improve the experience of patients with Parkinson’s disease / Parkinson’s Syndromes to positively affect their treatment/care outcomes. The post holder will support the existing team co-ordinate care for these patients in the four stages of Parkinson’s disease (diagnosis, maintenance, complex and palliative) across the continuums of the hospital and community within Grampian.
The post holder will influence patient care through expert clinical practice, education and health promotion. The post holder will also act as a highly specialist resource and educator on Parkinson’s disease for all disciplines across NHS Grampian and Social Care.
Hours and days can be flexible to suit both the applicant and the service requirements. Clean driving Licence is essential within this post. Applicants may wish to consider this as an additional development post within their existing role.
