CAMHS provide a service for children and young people with mental health problems up to their 18th birthday. This post will support the multi – disciplinary clinicians in the Tier 4 Child and Adult Mental Health Services pathways to deliver interventions to children and young people with moderate to severe mental health problems. The specialist pathways work with young people with Learning Disabilities, Complex Trauma and Forensic needs.
The service is community based, and covers all areas of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. We work closely with Additional Needs Schools, local Social Work Children and Family Teams and care providers. We provide intensive and focused clinical work, working directly with children and young people, families, carers and other professional involved.
You will be an integral part of the team, involved in implementing clinical care plans, participating in assessments and information collection, developing and providing a range of clinical resources, working with all disciplines in the team. As such we are looking for someone who can work under clinical supervision, has experience working with young people with a learning disability / vulnerability, and has working knowledge of augmented communication tools and methods.
It is desirable you are educated to, or actively working towards SVQ3 /SCQF level 6.
