Band 7 :  £39,300 - £46,006,  Full time, Permanent
The Highland Cancer Centre SACT service is seeking to expand its highly valued advanced cancer nursing team, based within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated experienced cancer nurse to join our cancer team. The post holder will provide excellent advanced level nursing expertise utilising a person centred care approach for people receiving & recovering from SACT. They must be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation, commitment to learning and a willingness to evidence the delivery of best practice care in a dynamic and changing care environment. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people affected by cancer within a multi-professional team are required in order to lead and deliver safe and effective care.
The post holder will undertake nurse led clinics in collaboration with their nursing and medical colleagues, which will necessitate the requirements for prescribing and working within given treatment protocols. There is a requirement to work across Highland to support the current specialist staff that deliver SACT within our rural general hospitals, as well as our community cancer & palliative care specialist nurses to ensure continuity and provision of excellent quality of care for our population. Hence, great interpersonal and organisational skills are very advantageous. You will be supported to access relevant training and development appropriate to the role and you will be encouraged to access regular reflective supervision.
