37.5hrs

Salary Scale: £31,800 - £39,169 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife to join the Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) team.

The PEF role is designed to enhance the quality of the practice learning environment, and contributes to the clinical learning experience by providing support, development and educational activities for mentors, newly qualified practitioners and other staff within clinical areas. This distinctive role continues to evolve and develop in response to local and national needs. You must be able to demonstrate and adopt new approaches to team work and service delivery as required.

You will work closely with other PEF team members to ensure the service is provided across NHS Tayside and you must have the ability to travel throughout the region. You will be required to cover a range of practice placement areas as part of this PEF role.

You should be innovative, experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of mentorship, the learning environment and student support mechanisms. You should be educated to degree level.

Consideration will be given to full time, part time and job share, in addition to opportunities being split between clinical practice roles and the PEF role to support the development and implementation of clinical/education roles underpinning the clinical academic career agenda.
