An exciting opportunity has arisen fo an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to work as part of the West Caithness Community Nursing Team, based in Thurso, delivery nursing care within patients' home environments.

The role will entail that you will process a variety of clinical skills and be able to demonstrate continued personal development.  You will have good communication and personal skills, time management and organisational skills.  You will need to have the ability to work alone and on your own initiative but still be a team player.  You must be adaptable, self-motivated and able to respond to challenges.

Experience in care of patients with complex and palliative needs is desirable.  Further training in specific areas of clinical nursing care and skills will be available.

This is a part-time post of 30 hours per week, covering a 7-day rota.  Participation in the on-call fota for end of life care patients will also be required as will the ability to take part in our upcoming pilot of extended service hours.  This post is fixed term for 12 months, covering a period of maternity leave.

A full driving licence is essential for this post and a pool car will be available.
