Band 4 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,336.68 per annum (pro rata)

22.5 Hours

Contract Duration – Fixed Term until 25/04/2021

This post will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Forensic Network. The Forensic Network was established by Scottish Government in 2003 to support a pan-Scotland approach to the development of forensic mental health services, to overview processes for determining the most effective care for patients accessing forensic services, and to address issues around patient pathways.

The post holder will provide project administration support for a portfolio of projects, identified as part of the Forensic Network’s work programme. This will involve planning & organising a broad range of complex work streams, which will include all aspects of event management, marketing, website maintenance, and the development of website content. The role will also involve providing secretariat support to professional groups, short life working groups and representing the Forensic Network and School of Forensic Mental Health (SoFMH) at meetings, all of which require the post holder to contribute to the formulation and adjustment of plans or strategies, and to provide key input into decision-making processes.

The post holder’s prime responsibility will be to ensure that, together with the Network Manager and Senior Network staff, assigned projects and events are delivered effectively and within the Network’s required standards.

HND standard of education or equivalent experience is required to meet the demands of this post. The post holder will often be the first point of contact for Forensic Network enquiries and must have excellent communication skills. Although no experience or knowledge around the Forensic Network or SoFMH is required, experience of event organisation, marketing and website maintenance are desirable.

The closing date for applications is 16/11/2020.
